Acompany Launches AutoPrivacy AI CleanRoom, Japan's First Security Service Utilizing Confidential Computing to Protect Data and AI. Now Accepting Partnership Opportunities.
Acompany Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Nishi Ward, Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture; CEO: Ryosuke Takahashi; hereinafter “Acompany”), a company promoting privacy-centric digital transformation (Privacy DX), announces the launch of AutoPrivacy AI CleanRoom, Japan’s first security service leveraging hardware-based confidential computing to protect data and AI.
Through this new service, Acompany aims to empower generative AI to become a trusted partner in business, accelerating operational efficiency. The service is designed not only for limited use cases like information gathering or summarization, but also to enable safe and secure handling of proprietary knowledge and sensitive data—opening the door to broader generative AI adoption in the enterprise. By solving AI security concerns, Acompany contributes to improved productivity and the creation of new value for businesses.
Additionally, Acompany is now seeking business partners interested in co-developing solutions using this new service to meet the growing demand for business-ready generative AI.

Background
While the use of generative AI in business is growing, it remains largely confined to minor productivity tasks like summarization or proofreading*1. One major reason is the security risks associated with inputting confidential or proprietary data into AI systems.
AI security concerns have become a significant barrier in business. According to research by the Information-technology Promotion Agency (IPA), 60.4% of companies using or planning to use AI in business feel threatened by AI-related security risks, and 75.0% recognize the importance of countermeasures*2.
However, the same survey found that fewer than 20% of companies have established rules around AI security, such as the management of trade secrets or internal fraud prevention. This indicates that AI security risks are likely to become even more critical going forward.
About AutoPrivacy AI CleanRoom
AutoPrivacy AI CleanRoom is Japan’s first security service that uses hardware-based confidential computing to protect both data and AI. It provides a developer platform that allows for easy creation of private LLMs using confidential computing, making it simple to build secure AI agents and applications.

For example, the platform enables the development of a ChatGPT-like application where the data remains completely confidential, inaccessible to anyone. It also supports services that simultaneously protect proprietary AI models and user data.
The main features provided include LLM hosting, which enables high-speed processing of large language models using GPUs within the AI clean room; a program execution platform that allows control via Python within a confidential computing environment; an AI gateway for managing access to AI models; and a RAG (retrieval-augmented generation) function that enables secure generation using confidential data within a confidential computing environment.

Together, these features support the secure and compliant deployment of generative AI while maintaining enterprise governance.
Call for Strategic Partners
Acompany is seeking business partners developing generative AI solutions for industries handling sensitive information—such as healthcare, finance, manufacturing, and defense.

What is Hardware-Based Confidential Computing?
Confidential computing refers to technology that enables computations to be performed on encrypted data. Among its types, hardware-based confidential computing — often called Trusted Execution Environments (TEEs) — ensures not just confidentiality (data protection), but also integrity, by allowing verification that the code being executed matches the expected, pre-approved version.
In Japan, hardware-based confidential computing has been designated as an essential technology in the Government Cloud initiative. Internationally, it’s already in use by companies like Apple and Google, and has seen adoption by the U.S. Navy and Army, among others — making it a rapidly advancing global technology.
